Worshipping God is an art form at Jonesville UMC. Our worship services are hospitable and openhearted. Come as you are and enjoy a bite to eat and a cup of coffee and good fellowship before worship. Then, as we begin to praise God in the company of one another, we bring our whole selves.
Our worship music is lively, with an unconventional praise band that refuses to be confined to the narrow definitions of “contemporary” or “traditional.”
The preaching is accessible and authentic with storytelling, conversation, and humor.
The laity participate generously in worship by offering their gifts. It’s not unusual to hear children and families reading scripture, to see folks share their gifts of dance, drama, and music. We share many sacramental hands-on activities during worship. Communion and Baptism and welcoming of new members are particularly spirit-filled and beautiful.
