Pay It Forward Campaign – June 2025!
We’re excited to share that starting Sunday, June 1st, Jonesville United Methodist Church is launching a month-long “Pay It Forward” campaign!
In a world that often feels loud, divided, and heavy—this is our chance to be a ripple of kindness and hope. Each week in June, we’ll focus on a new theme that challenges us to live out our faith through simple, powerful acts of love in our homes, neighborhoods, and community.
Here’s what you can expect:
🟡 Week 1 – The Ripple Effect of Kindness: Small acts for strangers—a smile, a compliment, a surprise coffee.
🟡 Week 2 – Serving with a Giving Heart: Donate or lend a hand to someone in need.
🟡 Week 3 – Lifting Others: Write notes, send prayers, visit or call someone who needs encouragement.
🟡 Week 4 – Pay It Forward as a Church Family: Join a group project like trail cleanup, music ministry, or card-making.
🟡 Week 5 – Creating a Legacy of Generosity: Keep it going! What habit of kindness will you carry forward?
We want to spread the message and remind folks that God’s love is active and alive.
We hope everyone, from kids to grandparents, will join us. No act is too small when God is in it. Let’s make June a month of compassion, community, and connection.
Pay It Forward Campaign – Day of Service
Sunday, June 22, 2025
Join us for a special Sunday of serving others and spreading kindness across our community! We’re stepping outside our sanctuary to be the hands and feet of Christ, and we invite everyone to take part in this joyful day of mission and connection.
Schedule:
- 9:45 AM – Musicians meet at Hillsdale Medical Care Facility to provide music for residents.
- 11:00 AM – All other volunteers meet at the church for a Commissioning Service in the sanctuary.
- 11:30 AM – Groups depart for assigned service projects.
- 1:30 PM – Return to church for a light lunch and fellowship.
What to Bring:
- Wear comfortable work clothes (paint, dirt, and joy may be involved!)
- Bring a refillable water bottle
- Sunscreen, hat, and gloves if needed for your project
Project Opportunities Include:
- Cleaning and mulching at Jerry Russell Trail
- Lobby and seat dusting at the Sauk Theatre
- Cooking & delivering meals for at-home friends
- Painting
- Creating thinking of you cards
- Music ministry at the Medical Care Facility
This is more than a day of work—it’s a day of collective effervescence: the deep, joyful energy that flows when people come together for a shared purpose. Let’s be the Church in action. Let’s lift one another up. Let’s Pay It Forward.
